Who we are
A real teaching practice, not a tutoring agency.
Edu-K was founded in 2005 by Karuna Shah, who qualified as a teacher in England. Every educator on the team trains under her, to one standard and one method — not a loose network of freelancers. We teach K–12: student-athletes, homeschooling families, and any child the 3 o’clock bell was never built for, with specialist support for SEN, dyslexia and speech and language led by Karuna herself.

How we teach
Assess, plan, hold the standard.
The English teaching standard, run as three steps. A Master Educator stays across all of it.
Assess first
Every student starts with a proper assessment with a Master Educator — where they are, and where the gaps are, before a single lesson is planned.
A real plan
A written plan, mapped to your child’s schoolwork and their week, reviewed and adjusted as they progress. You keep a copy.
Hold the standard
High expectations, calmly held, by a qualified teacher. A Master Educator sets and checks every plan.
What we do
One place for your child’s education.
Full-time schooling is the heart of it. Most families begin with tutoring; camps keep momentum through the breaks.
Full-Time Schooling
A child’s whole school day with us, around an accredited online public school, taught in person. Small cohorts, a teacher’s full attention, structure that holds. This is the model the practice is built to grow.
Best for a full, taught school day around an online school.
Inside the schooling programOne-to-One & Group Tutoring
Targeted teaching that closes gaps and keeps a child on pace — English, math, science, phonics, exam prep. From $35/hr.
How tutoring worksSummer & Holiday Camps
Academic mornings — English, math, science — and hands-on projects in the afternoon. All ages, run in the school breaks.
Camp datesWorking with your family
Kept in the loop, built around your week.

You always know where things stand
A written assessment at the start, a plan you keep a copy of, and regular progress check-ins — with a direct line to the Master Educator who owns the plan, not a call center.
When we run
Weekdays, with evenings and Saturdays by arrangement for one-to-one. The full-time schooling day is 8:30am–12:30pm. Camps run 10:30am–2:30pm in the breaks.
The team
Meet the educators who do the teaching.
Edu-K runs like a small practice — not a franchise, not a solo tutor. A Master Educator assesses every new student and stays on every plan; a named educator delivers the sessions.
Runs every assessment, writes and reviews every plan, owns quality across the practice. Led by Karuna Shah, the founder.
$100 / hourExperienced subject teaching for students who don’t need the Master Educator every hour.
$60 / hourFocused delivery — practice, drills, subject specialties — to the plan the Master Educator sets.
