Edu-K is a British-led teaching practice, and it is growing. We hire qualified, knowledgeable and experienced teachers who are patient with every kind of learner and serious about teaching — and who understand and want to work to the way Edu-K does it.
Who we hire
Teachers, not tutors.
Teaching has to come from somewhere real. We look for people who chose it on purpose, hold a proper qualification, and are as steady with a child who has lost confidence as with one who is racing ahead.
A real qualification
Qualified Teacher Status from England, or an equivalent full teaching qualification with classroom experience.
The Edu-K method
Comfortable assessing before teaching, planning to a written scheme of work, and holding a standard rather than moving at any pace.
The right temperament
Calm and structured, patient with every kind of learner, and genuinely good with students the standard school day doesn’t fit.
What it takes
Before you start.
- A background check (Live Scan) completed before you start
- Mandated-reporter and safety training — we help you complete these
- Right to work in the US, and 18 or older
- Two professional references we can speak to
First-aid / CPR certification is arranged for the full-time team.
The tiers

Runs every assessment, writes and reviews every plan, owns quality across the practice. Led by Karuna Shah, the founder.
$100 / hourExperienced subject teaching for students who don’t need the Master Educator every hour.
$60 / hourFocused delivery — practice, drills, subject specialties — to the plan the Master Educator sets.
