Huntington Beach homeschools on its own schedule. When the surf’s up at 8am, nobody’s reaching for a textbook — and that’s rather the point. Families here choose homeschooling because life on the coast offers more than a classroom timetable ever could.
Edu-K makes that freedom academically sustainable. We bring qualified, experienced teaching to Huntington Beach homeschool families — with one-to-one tutoring in your home or online, plus small group sessions at our Orange County learning center, and full-time schooling there or in your home — all flexing around tides, training and real life.
Teaching that works around the coast
Surf City families keep unconventional hours, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. One-to-one sessions are booked around your week — mornings before the beach, afternoons after training, online when the schedule gets tight. Group sessions run at our learning center, and the full-time program can run there or in your home.
One-to-one tutoring. Individual instruction in math, English, science and more, built on a genuine assessment of your child’s level. Early readers through to advanced high-school students — each with a plan that’s actually theirs.
Group tutoring. Small, structured group sessions where homeschoolers learn with other homeschoolers. Academic momentum plus the social piece that homeschooling parents worry about most — in groups small enough that nobody hides.
Full-time schooling. Our most complete program — and the core of what Edu-K does. Your child enrolls, free, in an accredited California online public school (which covers the curriculum, records and an accredited transcript), and Edu-K educators teach the school day — in small cohorts at our Orange County learning center, or in your home — mornings 8:30am–12:30pm. Monthly fees from $1,070 depending on days per week — see the full-time schooling page for details.
Summer & holiday camps. Academic camps through the breaks — because three months of no math is a long time, even in paradise.
A natural fit for student-athletes
Huntington Beach raises serious young athletes — surfers, skaters, swimmers, volleyball players — and serious training schedules break conventional schooling. This is where Edu-K’s specialty matters most.
We keep competitive young athletes academically on pace around training blocks, competitions and travel. Sessions move when the schedule moves. If your child’s sport is the priority right now, we build education around it instead of forcing the choice. See our student-athletes page.
Why Huntington Beach families choose Edu-K

Common questions from Huntington Beach homeschool families
Can sessions move around my child’s training schedule?
Yes — this is routine for us. Athletes’ weeks change constantly; sessions can be rescheduled, moved online, or shifted seasonally around competition calendars.
We’re fairly unstructured homeschoolers. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. We adapt to your philosophy. Some families want a rigorous timetable; others want targeted support in math and English while the rest stays child-led. Both work.
What if my child has lost confidence in a subject?
Extremely common, and very fixable. One-to-one teaching lets us go back to the exact point things wobbled, rebuild properly, and restore the confidence that makes progress possible.
Where do sessions take place?
One-to-one tutoring happens in your home or online — whichever suits your week. Group sessions run at our Orange County learning center, and full-time schooling can be taught there or in your home. We’ll map the right setup for your family in your free consultation.
