Cypress is a residential city in north-west Orange County, well connected to La Palma, Buena Park, Los Alamitos and Garden Grove. Homeschool families here have access to community resources close by, and they often look for a consistent academic plan that fits around the family’s other commitments.
Edu-K pairs Cypress homeschool families with experienced educators for one-to-one tutoring and small-group sessions, and offers a full-time schooling program, all built around your child’s pace and your family’s schedule. Edu-K is led by Karuna Shah, a British-qualified teacher.
Learning around Cypress
Cypress College is a strong resource for older homeschoolers who want to add college-level courses to their program, and it gives younger students a real picture of the path ahead. Across the city and its neighbors, parks and libraries provide meeting places for co-ops and group activities, and the wider region offers museums and nature sites for longer outings.
We help families plan around those options. If an older student is taking a college course, we keep the core subjects around it on track, and for younger children we build reading, writing and math into a weekly structure that leaves room for outings.
How we work with Cypress families

Group tutoring. Small-group sessions at our Orange County learning center, where homeschoolers learn alongside other homeschoolers.
Full-time schooling. Your child enrolls, free, in an accredited California online public school, and Edu-K educators teach the school day in small cohorts, mornings 8:30am to 12:30pm. Monthly fees start at $1,070. See the full-time schooling page.
